YCoalition holds Training of Trainers (TOT) in Khulna on “Strengthening Inclusion, Interfaith and Sustaining Peace.”
Starting from a stormy morning, Khulna was ready to face the danger that might occur very soon. YCoalition team reached Shonadanga to take their signature program after successfully completing in Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Sylhet division. Training of Trainers (TOT), one of the most effective program following Faith in the Commonwealth is currently trained by YCoalition which is a youth led peace organization in Bangladesh. YCoalition got Peace Award 2018 for its vision towards sustaining peace among the youth of Bangladesh. TOT is planned to take in all the divisions of Bangladesh to create a web of peace builders and connect youths from diversified areas. Apart from that YCoalition is currently taking 4 hour workshop in schools named “Goals for Generation” and 1 day workshop in college level named “Generation for Peace”. Each program is planned to shape the future of the youths in a just and peaceful way.
Training of Trainers on “Strengthening Inclusion, Interfaith and Sustaining Peace” is a two day training planned to equip students from diversified background and belief to work side by side and create a sustainable community and establish peace by understanding Global Citizenship, Peace Dialogue and Inclusiveness. After its pilot execution of TOT in Sylhet, Bangladesh, YCoalition took Khulna as its second zone to work for. With gloomy environment, storm approaching TOT was taken with enthusiastic and positive young students from different background. Starting from 3rd May, Friday morning where all the citizens of Khulna division was either busy in preparing for the devastating storm or sleeping with a good morning environment, participants came to the venue in time to learn and be a part of this big network. Training started with 30 participants from 12 different institutions in Khulna and after several workshops and sessions, participants understood that it was not an in general training or something they expected to because the training was different from anything they have ever experienced.

The whole program was facilitated by Md. Tamzid Hayder Tawrat Sikder, Founder & Chairperson of YCoalition with Co-facilitation of Abu Bakar Chowdhury, Chief Program Coordinator of YCoalition. All the participants were monitored by SK Sadman Sakib, Media and Press Secretary, YCoalition International.
Md. Tamzid Hayder Tawrat Sikder, Founder & Chairperson of YCoalition noted, “Khulna is unimaginable for me, and participants here are tremendous, strong and adaptive. I believe Khulna division will be a strong zone for peace builders”.
As the program ended with certificate providing and a reflection of the program session Pranta Bhowmik, a jolly participant quoted, “TOT gave me the understanding and facilitating strategy to know individual and group learning process and provided me with knowledge to communicate meaningfully with others”. Training of Trainers ended with lots of memories and huge learning for both parties that whether the situation is on your side or not, training should be there and well implemented. The more challenges you face the more experienced you become.
