Foysal Hasan Tanvir, a human rights activist from Bangladesh, started his journey by advocating for child rights and the prevention of child marriage also violence against children in 2014. He is the Co-Founder of YCoalition International, A youth-led peace-building organization to strive together for sustainable peace, Promoting inclusiveness, tolerance, Diversity, and SRHRJ among Bangladeshi youth. He is also an elected Member of the United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child under the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR). Notably, he participated Day of General Discussion (DGD) 2018 as a delegate of the Peoples Republic of Bangladesh at the United Nations Geneva. He participated in several training, conferences, and international-level advocacy on human rights and get the privileged to be part of the global advocacy process on rights perspectives. He has significant knowledge and field-level experiences to run evidence-based advocacy and bring the agenda to the policy-making table at the national & global levels. Foysal is highly interested to run advocacy on human rights and democracy issues linked with Climate Issues. He is a Swedish Institute Alumni from Bangladesh. In 2018, He was nominated for International Children Peace Prize. He was an active member of Bangladesh Scout, and he got 3 President and Prime Minister Awards from the Government of Bangladesh. Moreover, Foysal is a South Asian fellow of the Women and Earth (WORTH) Initiative.
